The regulation on deforestation and forest degradation foresees the establishment of a benchmarking system in order to assess countries or part thereof and classify them among three categories: high risk, low risk and standard risk, based on a number of criteria defined by Article 29 of the regulation, within 18 months after the entry into force of the regulation.

The time limit for the receipt of tenders is 11 July 2023.
