According to COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING DECISION (EU) 2024/2402 of 12 September 2024  the approval of sulfuryl fluoride for use in biocidal products of product-types 8 (wood preservatives) and 18 in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council is not renewed.

Member States which granted authorisations for products containing sulfuryl fluoride had to cancel these authorisations and inform the authorisation holders about it. Member States may grant a maximum period of 180 days for making the products available on the market, and an additional maximum period of 180 days for the use of the products following the entry into force (on 10 October 2024) of the Implementing Decision .
