EUDR – 1 additional year delay – proposed on 23/09/25
On 23 September EU’s environment commissioner Jessika Roswall announced in a press conference its intention to propose a one-year delay to the entry into application of the EUDR.
Commissioner Roswall stated “we have concern regarding the IT system given the amount of information we put in. This will give us time to look at these risks that this load of information will get into the system”. She also mentioned that the current system may create disruption for business and supply chain.
Please note that this postponement still requires approval by the European Parliament and the Council – however, any major obstacles are not foreseen in this regard.
