The update of the EU Industrial Strategy highlights the need to accelerate the green and digital transitions. In this context, a co-creation process was launched to create a Transition Pathway for Construction (published on 15 March 2023) and describe the conditions and recommended actions to achieve a resilient, competitive, more green and digital construction ecosystem.

The Transition Pathway is the result of a co-creation process over the last two years. Members of the construction ecosystem have contributed through an open consultation as well as various sessions of the High Level Construction Forum (HLCF). This process demonstrated the importance of working together – with all stakeholder groups. Now is the time to move to co-implementation, where co-ownership (i.e. commitments and pledges) is transparent, structured and accountable.
