As the formal adoption of the Nature Restoration Law (NRL) did not meet the required majority in March, the Belgian Presidency decided to put the item on the agenda once again.

After a round of interventions, the Council announced that the required majority had been reached to formally adopt the proposal. Sweden, Finland, Netherlands, Italy, Hungary and Poland voted against the adoption of the regulation, while Belgium abstained from voting.

All other MS were in favour of adopting the NRL. As the majority required to adopt the text had been reached, the document was thus formally adopted by the Council.
